ABOUT the course
Mother and daughter training team Sharon and Rosie King are offering in-house training sessions to organisations who seek to build knowledge and employ strategies to protect, retain and include staff and clients who are on the autism spectrum.
This single day training session is designed to help companies to support, encourage and benefit from neurodivergent employees. The understanding and ethos that underpins this course will help to build a safe, empathetic and healthy environment for all people in your workplace.
course outline
Our session lasts for one day, starting with a group discussion about autism and other forms of neurodivergence/disability. We discuss the most up to date knowledge and support strategies, whilst benifiting from the ideas and experiences of the group.
Following is a joint presentation from Rosie and Sharon; Sharon shares her experiences of being a mother to three unique individuals, hilighting the challenges of dealing with outside perception and celebrating the strength and understanding that her experience has given her. Rosie also tells her story, covering the difficulties she’s faced and the success that she’s achieved in her career as a disabled and neurodivergent person.
The final segment of the session offers practical advice on how to support and protect autistic and neurodivergent collegues/clients, allowing for social and sensory differences and encouraging positive workplace relationships.

ABOUT the trainers
sharon King
Sharon is a social care trainer, author, presenter, advocate and dedicated mum to three disabled and neurodivergent people. She seeks every opportunity to share the knowledge that she has aquired on her journey. Her acclaimed book, How Best To Help an Autism Mum, was published in 2018 to critical acclaim, and has helped many families to adjust and thrive following diagnoses.
Rosie King
Rosie is a celebrated TED speaker, advocate, Emmy winning presenter, actor and writer for BBC’s award winning show Pablo. She was diagnosed with autism and Tourette’s syndrome at nine years old, and has been a carer for her profoundy disabled siblings most of her life. She aims to use her experiences to promote awareness and acceptance for other disabled and neurodivergent people.
